The library system maintains a record of books and other materials requested by patrons. A patron may request that his/her name be placed on a list to receive a particular item (holds). Holds placed by Hall County Library System patrons for Hall County Library System materials will be honored in the order that they are entered into the queue. Holds placed by Hall County Library System patrons for items that belong to a library outside of the Hall County Library System, but within the PINES system will be honored in the order entered, unless local patrons are on the list. Items on hold may not be renewed if other patrons are on the list. Patrons may not have more than 50 holds placed at any one time. Holds remain available for pick up for seven days.
